Your data on Comparte

You can browse without an account. To post or contact someone, we store your verified contact and a session cookie to keep you signed in.

We store your pickup location privately. Public listings show an approximate area and distance, not your phone number or exact coordinates. Contact addresses are stored encrypted.

When a verified neighbor requests contact, we share a link to your messenger so you can arrange pickup. WhatsApp or Telegram process that conversation under their own policies; Comparte cannot read it.

If you use Comparte's WhatsApp verification or bot, Meta processes messages sent to that number. We temporarily retain the data needed to verify codes and respond to commands. We also retain reports and action records to moderate the service.

Listings disappear from browsing after seven days or when marked gone. This does not mean they are immediately deleted from the database. The pilot is being prepared and WhatsApp verification is not active yet.
